daniels truck

i was in my camaro and we were at a stop light... i hit it hard and pulled away fast as soon as it turned green... i got maybe a qaurter of a mile up and then he passed me... his truck had better high end accelerastion

Yea I didnt spin either and my truck weighs like 5000 pounds.. 305 camaro vs vortec 305 truck...

ya that vortec has right at 220 hp to your maros 145-160hp depending on years. Shocked

yea Ive read that the vortec 305 had more power then the previous 350s they put in the trucks. That was untill they came out with the vortec 350

the vortec heads make more hp because they breathe and flow better than the stock 350 heads with the same size valves. Thats why alot of hotrodders that cant afford the $1000 plus after market heads suckem up fast, only problem is that the vortec heads valve springs will only a .450 of lift before binding with out machine work.

Im not a small block guy so I dont know much about the different stuff for them, i just know that the vortec heads are some good ones.

dont get me wrong, i like all engines that HP, my son in law has a 66 ford pickup with a ford 428 in it. I will try and find a picture of it and post it later.

I forgot all about it.Been working on replacing floor in my camaro but here it is.
Its got a 4 link pro street rear set up,a mustang 2 front end from fatboys,custom gauges and interior and a worked over 428 cobra jet engine with a TCI C6 street fighter tranny coupled to a narrowed 9" rear.
